Inter-agency pooled funds administered by the UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF) Office serve broad, multi-stakeholder partnerships that come together to tackle a specific complex development problem and advance the Sustainable Development Goals. The range of partners normally includes UN entities and governments, and extends to other multilateral organisations, foundations, NGOs and the private sector.
The real success of a pooled trust fund, however, comes from the results collectively generated by our partners, whether as contributors, participating organizations, or as programme countries. Blending investments through pooled funds reduces intervention fragmentation and results in joint outcomes far greater than the sum of all parts.
