On 6 April, Mr. Yannick Glemarec, the former Executive Coordinator of the MPTF Office took up his new position as Deputy Executive Director for Policy and Programme at UN Women, at the ASG level. His appointment was announced by the Secretary-General on 6 March.  Ms. Henriette Keijzers, the Deputy Executive Coordinator, has meanwhile taken over the leadership of the MPTF Office as OIC.

Mr. Glemarec served as Executive Coordinator for the MPTF Office from February 2013 to early April 2015.  During a reception held in his honor, Helen Clark, the UNDP Administrator and Chair of the UNDG, praised Mr. Glemarec for the high quality of results during his tenure at the MPTF Office. She referred specifically to the strengthened focus on fund design and the methodology for fund design documented in a manual on ‘Designing Funds for Performance’. Gina Casar, the Associate Administrator, echoed similar views.

At UN Women, Mr. Glemarec will be responsible for setting the direction and guiding the planning, coordination, management and oversight of all programme activities and services provided by the Programme and Policy Bureau.
